After two weekends full of March Madness surprises, the Final Four is set. This coming Saturday, in San Antonio, the two games will be played to decide who will meet in the Championship game next Monday, April 2nd. The story of the tournament so far has been 11 seed Loyola-Chicago, who has upset every team in their path so far. From beating 6 seed Miami FL and 3 seed Tennessee on last second shots, to just plain being better than 7 seed Nevada and 9 seed Kansas State.
The Ramblers are in the hearts of the American population, but maybe not for a small few who still have brackets intact. In fact, the race for the top score in the EBSN Online Bracket Challenge is very close and will come down to the results of the title game on Monday. Let’s take a look at the top brackets after two weeks of basketball.
Congratulations are in order once again for OSUStu04, who has the lead after the weekend for the second consecutive week. Unfortunately, that lead will not last as he doesn’t have any possible points remaining. Even if Villanova or Kansas loses in the title game Monday night, the win in the semifinals will still give users a point boost above Stu’s.
EBSN’s Greg Frey and Taylor Ashbrook are tied in 9th place as of now, but Frey doesn’t have any possible points remaining. Ashbrook leads the field in possible points remaining, she has Villanova beating Michigan in the final by a 70-67 margin.
Former Ohio State Silver Bullets are having a rough go of it in this challenge. Matt Finkes is sitting in 60th with no possible points remaining, he had Arizona winning it all. Fellow EBSN On-Air personality Zach Boren is just below Finkes in 64th. Boren also has 0 possible points remaining, he picked Michigan State to win it all.
Take a look at the full rankings here.
The Final Four will decide everything, Villanova is the most common pick amongst those that still have possible points remaining. If the Wildcats go down, all hell will break loose in the standings. Enjoy!
